Recent health inspections conducted by the Georgia Department of Public Health have spotlighted the hygienic practices of various eateries in Richmond and Columbia counties. Between May 31 and June 6, numerous restaurants received their inspection scores, reflecting their adherence to health regulations. Establishments such as Arsenal Tap Room and Kitchen and Hooters of Augusta celebrated perfect scores of 100, indicating flawless compliance with health standards.

However, not all reports were as commendable. Some venues, like A Town Wings on Peach Orchard Road, scored as low as 58, citing severe violations including inadequate handwashing and food contamination. Despite these shortcomings, inspectors provided guidance for immediate corrective actions, emphasizing the importance of maintaining strict hygiene practices for the safety of patrons. These inspections serve as a crucial reminder of the ongoing efforts to ensure food safety in the community.
