It’s That Time of Year, Folks – Fair Season!

October and November are fall fair months, y’all! And no fall season is complete without some time taking rides, seeing animals, playing games, and of course eating the specialties of the wandering grounds. All around Georgia, fairs will be setting up this month to bring you an array of fun, so be sure to take some notes and plan to enjoy the festivities!

Georgia State Fair in Hampton, Sept. 30-Oct. 9, 2022

Atlanta Motor Speedway will be filled with sights and screams of joy alike as one of the state’s largest fairs take over the grounds. Animals, as always, play a mighty big role in the festivities of the Georgia State Fair, with petting zoos galore and even a white tiger display.

The Georgia National Fair in Perry, Oct. 6-16, 2022

Every autumn, for exactly 11 days, the Georgia National Fair brings just about everything you could want to the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter. Jump on rides, sing along at concerts, take in some of the agricultural exhibits or even horse shows, try the dozens of food stands, participate in arts and crafts galore – even sign up to enter the numerous competitions. And every night, make sure to find a cozy seat to stare up at the expansive bursts of fireworks.

Cumming Country Fair & Festival, Oct. 6-16, 2022

40 minutes north of Atlanta, the Cumming Country Fair & Festival will be setting up shop for all to enjoy. This fair boasts some amazing entertainers, the Miss Cumming Pageant, concerts – and of course – BBQ, BBQ, BBQ.

Elberton 12-County Fair, Oct. 13-23, 2022

Voted “One of the 10 Great Places for Blue Ribbon County Fairs” by USA Today, the Elberton 12-County Fair will feature an assortment of entertainment. Whether it’s signing up for the handmade goods competitions, taking a chance with the nightly prize drawings, rides to take you high to low to everywhere in between, or even a carnival mid-way through – there’s too much fun to be had.

Georgia-Carolina State Fair in Augusta, Oct. 14-23, 2022

A classic event filled to the brim with entertainment! You can expect more rides this year than ever before, alongside the traditional livestock competitions, all the deep fried fair food you can handle, and even the Miss Georgia-Carolina State Fair Competition. 

Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair in Statesboro, Oct. 17-22, 2022

An annual agricultural fair hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, the purpose of which is to ultimately bring a fun filled event to the seven-county area surrounding Bulloch County while raising money to give back to the communities that the fair serves. With all the classic staples of fair events – 2022 will mark the 60th Annual Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair! Happy Anniversary!

Dublin Fall Fair, Oct. 25-29, 2022

Run – don’t walk – to the Civitan Fairgrounds as rides for every member of the family await! Stroll under the myriad of lights that make up the carnival midway, play some games with the kids (or even adults) and be sure to eat after hitting the rides like Viper, Wipe Out, Drop Tower, Fireball, with kiddie rides too for the anklebiters. 

Columbia County Fair in Grovetown, Nov. 3-13, 2022

Alongside classic fair staples, the Columbia County Fair will also feature the exciting and daring exploits of rodeo riders, chainsaw carvers, and even a demolition derby! Of course, there will also be plenty of concerts with local musicians going so don’t miss out on this one!
